Benner and Both families
My Mom's side of the family
All the rest of my pages concentrate on either my Dad's side or my husband's side of our families. This page is for my Mom's side.
I have done some research for these families but not as much as I have done for some other families. I scanned a "scrapbook" that my Great great grandmother, Cecelia Barbara (Both) Benner, put together. She passed it down to her daughter, Marguerite Elizabeth (Benner) Smith. The book is approximately 27 pages of newspaper articles and obituaries. It was a book called "The Wonder Ships of Today". Cecelia just pasted the newspaper articles etc right over the pages of the book. The dates of the articles range from 1925 to 1974.
Floyd Elroy Benner
Cecelia Barbara Both married Floyd Elroy Benner 30 Sept 1912 in Hastings, MI. Floyd was one of 9 children born to Benjamin Franklin Benner and Mary Elizabeth (Collins) Benner. Benjamin Franklin was born 21 Sept 1847 in Elkhart Co., Indiana, married Mary Elizabeth Collins 25 Dec 1873 and died 12 Jan 1925 in Nashville, MI. Benjamin's parents were Benjamin Benner and Caroline Broughton.

I loved visiting Aunt Helen. She is my 2nd great grand Aunt. She is my great grandma's (Marguerite Benner Smith) Aunt. Aunt Helen was a very spunky and very nice lady. She was funny and alot of fun to be around.
